There are two ways students can read with Learning Ally.

With a Learning Ally Audiobook Solution account, your child can access all the books mentioned in these resources via the reading app.

Does Your Child's School Have a Membership?

Individual schools and/or school districts can purchase memberships and provide accounts for all students who qualify.

If your child’s school offers membership, your child will already have a username and password.  (If you aren’t sure whether your child’s school offers Learning Ally, reach out to your child’s teacher, special education director, or reading specialist.)

  • To begin reading, your child will download the Learning Ally audiobook app from the App Store or the Google Play Store. They can also read in a web browser by downloading the Learning Ally audiobook Google Chrome extension. For links to app stores and to learn more about downloading, click here

  • Once they log into the app or extension, they can add books to their bookshelf and begin reading. See this helpful video for adding books to your child's bookshelf.

  • To view their progress or add books to their shelf, you can log into their account with their username and password.

Do You Have a Household Membership?

If your child’s school does not subscribe to Learning Ally and you wish to purchase a membership for your child (up to 4 qualified children in a household), it is easy for you to set up an account.

Sign Up - If your child doesn’t have a school account and you want to sign up for a household membership, click here.

Your child may begin reading immediately after you sign-up, but will need to be qualified before June 30th to continue reading after that date.

If you already have a Household Membership but need help getting started:

  • To begin reading, your child will download the Learning Ally audiobook app from the App Store or the Google Play Store. They can also read in a web browser by downloading the Learning Ally audiobook Google Chrome extension. For links to app stores and to learn more about downloading, click here

  • Once they log into the app or extension, they (with your assistance, if needed) can add books to their bookshelf and begin reading. See this helpful video for adding books to your child's bookshelf.

  • As a parent of a child with a household membership, you will receive your own credentials that will allow you to log into Learning Ally and check on your child’s progress and/or add a book to their shelf.
