Send your child on a quest for knowledge! Children will choose their own path through a list of book options based around our theme "responding to challenges." They will think critically about what they have learned as they answer questions about the texts to complete their quest.
Lots of great books are made into movies! In this activity, children will choose and read a book, then watch the Hollywood adaptation (with your permission)! Along the way, they'll choose and answer prompts that help them think about the similarities and differences between the book and the movie.
Share the love of reading with your child through a DIY book club! The team at Learning Ally has put together a kit for you to run your own book club as a family or with friends, complete with discussion questions and activities to extend the learning. Our first book is Front Desk by Kelly Yang.
Motivate your child to read by adding an engaging book from Learning Ally's Featured Audiobooks collection to their bookshelf. (These books can also be found through library lending resources and retail vendors if your child does not have an Audiobook Solution account.)
Join Dan Gutman, our Learning Ally Author Talk 2020 host, for a daily read-aloud from his book series, "Our Weird School." Dan reads live at 2pm Eastern Time on Facebook Live. Join him live or watch his previously recorded sessions. If your student uses Learning Ally Audiobooks, be sure to find Dan's books in our library.
